Accountant I

Under the direct supervision of the Accounting Manager or designee, this position completes tasks involving the entry, review, and analysis of the general ledger as assigned. It monitors the casino's business activities through the maintenance of financial records. Performs all accounting functions in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and applicable tribal, state, and federal laws, rules and regulations. Maintains strict confidentiality of privileged information.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance plus one (1) year accounting experience. Casino accounting experience preferred. Must be twenty-one years (21) of age. No felony, theft or stealing convictions. Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, background investigation, obtain and maintain gaming license. Navajo preference.
