The Importance of the Role We are seeking an Associate Director of Technical Accounting to lead our technical accounting and SOX compliance activities supporting the Research and Development (R&D) and Technical Operations Organization which includes Discovery Research, Pre-Clinical Development, Clinical Development, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality and Process Development functions. This is a high impact role within the Finance organization, offering the opportunity to partner closely with cross functional leaders and play a key role in strengthening our internal control environment and ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP. This role will focus on SOX compliance, technical accounting research and documentation of complex accounting matters. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in accounting and internal controls, a proactive and solution-oriented mindset, and experience supporting and documenting complex operational areas in a dynamic manufacturing environment, including via memos, supporting schedules/models, sensitivity analysis, etc.

The Opportunity to Make a Difference
Lead the development, implementation, documentation, and maintenance of SOX-compliant internal controls across R&D, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality and Process Development finance related activities.
Partner with operational leader to evaluate the financial impact of new business initiatives, systems, or process changes.
Provide technical accounting support and documentation for areas such as cost accounting, inventory valuation, reserves, manufacturing variances, research collaborations, clinical development, and capital project expenditures.
