Job Summary
As a Staff Accountant at Jabil, Inc., you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. You will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, ensuring compliance with company policies and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Job Responsibilities
Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and proper coding.
Reconcile general ledger accounts, bank statements, and other financial records.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing financial statements.
Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.
Process payroll-related transactions.
Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and resolve discrepancies.
Identify and recommend improvements to accounting processes and procedures.
Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
1-2 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or multinational environment.
Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, advanced formulas).
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is highly desirable.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
