Bookkeeper for Landscaping Business (Brooklyn) compensation: $30 - $35 per hour employment type: job title: Bookkeeper for Landscaping Business We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper / Office assistant to join our team. Must have proficiency in Quickbooks software and a solid understanding of financial management principles. Duties may include, but are not limited to: Manage accounts payable processes including but not limited to reviewing and inputting all invoices received, verifying accuracy, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping, performing banking related functions Submit employee hours to weekly payroll Keep Accounts receivable and Accounts payable current Tracking of all payments and expenditures, including credit card transactions, invoices and statements etc. Annual NYSIF and insurance audits Analyze General Ledger by confirming balances in all accounts Assist in the preparation of annual business budget and analyze variances State, federal taxes, payroll taxes, and prepare reports for CPA. Timely filing of quarterly NYS sales tax payments Maintain employee records, including new hire on boarding and tracking individuals Paid Time Off. Assist with scheduling and client emails. Assist with proposals for clients. Send invoices to clients. Keep a detailed log of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each jobsite. Qualifications/requirements 3+ years Bookkeeping experience required Proficient in general ledger reconciliation and account analysis Strong knowledge of financial management practices and public accounting standards Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills Strong financial acumen with the ability to communicate effectively with team members Capability to work independently while managing multiple priorities effectively Part time work from home Please e-mail your resume and references for consideration Principals only.
