SENIOR ACCOUNTING MANAGER - REMOTE We are currently recruiting on behalf of a mid-sized, high-growth, PE-backed organization in Georgia for a Senior Accounting Manager. Position Overview The Senior Accounting Manager will lead a small accounting team and play a hands-on role in managing the close process, financial reporting, addressing technical accounting matters, overseeing inventory accounting, strengthening internal controls, and supporting external audit activities. Responsibilities include: Lead and manage the monthly close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with accounting standards Supervise and mentor a team of accounting professionals Serve as a technical accounting resource, including research and implementation of new guidance Oversee inventory accounting and related controls Drive process improvements and scalable efficiencies across the accounting function Support external audit relationships and internal control initiatives Prepare and present financial reporting packages to leadership Qualifications CPA designation (required) Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Master's preferred) 6-9+ years of progressive accounting experience Background in public accounting (audit) combined with corporate accounting experience. Strong preference given to those with Big 4 audit experience. Strong technical accounting expertise, including research and application of GAAP Experience in product-based or inventory-driven environments Demonstrated success leading process improvement initiatives Proven ability to prepare and present financial information to senior stakeholders Experience managing or leading accounting staff Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills Demonstrated career progression and professional stability *Note - seeking talent based in the Southeast US exclusively for this opportunity.
