Senior Manager, SEC Reporting Atlanta, GA We have been engaged by a growth-oriented publicly-traded company in Atlanta to identify a Senior Manager of SEC Reporting. This Senior SEC Reporting Manager role plays a key part in supporting the company's external reporting and technical accounting functions. The individual will drive the preparation of SEC filings, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and serve as a key liaison across finance, audit, and leadership teams. Key responsibilities include: Oversee the preparation and review of SEC filings, including quarterly and annual reports, earnings releases, and supporting disclosures Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and maintain a strong internal control environment aligned with SOX requirements Support equity-related reporting, including proxy statements and stock-based compensation disclosures Conduct technical accounting research and provide guidance on complex transactions and new accounting standards Partner closely with internal and external auditors to support audit and review processes Contribute to the management and optimization of financial reporting systems and tools, including participation in enhancements or upgrades The right candidate for this Sr SEC Reporting Manager role will have: 5-7+ years of experience in SEC reporting and financial reporting within a public company or public accounting environment supporting public clients Strong technical accounting knowledge, including U.S. GAAP and internal controls (SOX) Experience with SEC reporting platforms such as Workiva preferred (other tools considered) CPA designation Demonstrated ability to research and apply accounting guidance to complex scenarios Strong systems aptitude with exposure to financial reporting and ERP platforms Note - seeking Atlanta-based talent for this opportunity.
