Cash Application Specialist (6-month Contract-to-Hire) Overview We're partnering with a large, well-established global organization to hire a Cash Application Specialist for a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity. What You'll Do Process and post high-volume cash transactions (ACH, wire, and check payments) across multiple entities and currencies Download and manage daily bank activity across multiple accounts and systems Apply payments in ERP systems (SAP preferred), ensuring accuracy and timeliness Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies (short pays, overpayments, missing remittances, deductions) Collaborate with internal teams (Collections, Customer Service, Accounting) to resolve issues and ensure proper application Communicate with customers to obtain remittance details and clarify payment questions Monitor and manage unapplied cash, partial payments, and aging items Perform account reconciliations and assist with month-end close processes Maintain detailed documentation and tracking of all cash activity Support process improvements and system enhancements What We're Looking For 1+ year of cash application experience in a high-volume environment (required) Proven ability to handle large transaction volumes with accuracy and efficiency Experience with ERP systems (SAP strongly preferred) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Solid communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally Why This Opportunity Contract-to-hire with strong potential for permanent placement Join a large, global organization with significant growth and long-term stability Exposure to complex, high-volume accounting operations Career advancement opportunities within a rapidly expanding company Competitive pay: $28-$30/hour + benefits Work Environment Onsite during training, then transitions to hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 days remote) Professional, collaborative team with a supportive culture Beautiful office campus and strong team environment Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Collins, CO.
