Innova Solutions is partnering with a client that is actively seeking to hire an experienced Sr Internal Auditor for an immediate opening.

Job Title: Sr Internal Auditor

Location: Dublin, CA : 5 days onsite

Employment type : Fulltime/Direct Hire

The Senior Internal Auditor plans and executes risk-based audits to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance across financial, operational, and compliance areas. The role ensures regulatory compliance, identifies control gaps, and provides actionable recommendations to strengthen processes and mitigate risk.

In this role, you will:

Lead and perform risk-based audits across lending, deposits, AML, fraud, and regulatory compliance.

Assess internal controls, policies, and procedures; identify risks and compliance gaps.

Develop audit plans, scopes, and testing aligned with IIA/COSO standards.

Analyze data and financial records to detect discrepancies, fraud risks, and inefficiencies.

Prepare audit reports, present findings to management/Audit Committee, and track remediation.

Support annual audit planning and coordinate with external auditors and regulators.

Stay current on regulatory changes and emerging risks (cybersecurity, ESG, etc.)

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's in accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.

Internal audit experience (financial services preferred).

Preferred certifications: CIA, CPA, CAMS, CFE (or equivalent).

Strong knowledge of banking regulations (FDIC/NCUA/CFPB), GAAP/IFRS, and risk frameworks.

Experience with GRC tools (AuditBoard, TeamMate+, Diligent, etc.) and data analytics (Power BI/Tableau)

SALARY RANGE AND BENEFITS:

Salary Range*: $125,000 to $131,000

*Salary range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
