Certified Public Accountant with Ownership Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our growing firm in a full-time hybrid role based in Holladay, Utah. This role is ideal for a CPA who enjoys both technical tax accounting work and building meaningful client relationships.

The CPA will be responsible for tax preparation and planning, client financial & advisory services, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, client-focused, and interested in long-term professional growth within a well-established practice.

This position also offers potential long-term leadership and ownership opportunities, including the possibility of a partial or full firm transition for the right candidate.

• Prepare and review individual, business, partnership, and corporate tax returns
• Prepare accounting reports for client financial management
• Provide tax planning and strategic financial guidance to clients
• Ensure compliance with current federal, state, and local tax regulations
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation
• Communicate directly with clients regarding tax matters, financial questions, and planning opportunities
• Identify process improvements and efficiencies within accounting workflows
• Collaborate with office staff to deliver high-quality client service
• Stay informed on changes in tax law, accounting standards, and industry regulations
• Assist with client relationship management and long-term practice development

• Active CPA or EA license in good standing
• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 34 years of public accounting or tax experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of tax preparation, financial statements, and accounting principles
• Understanding of federal and state tax laws and compliance requirements
• Proficiency with accounting and tax software platforms
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage deadlines and multiple client engagements
• Professional communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience working directly with clients in a service-oriented environment
