Accounts Payable Specialist (AP Clerk)
Location: Fishers, IN (Onsite)
Job Type: Contract / Contract-to-Hire
Compensation: Mid-$20s per hour (depending on experience)
Position Overview
An organization in the Fishers, IN area is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to support its accounting team during a large-scale ERP system implementation. This role will focus on organizing, validating, and preparing vendor and invoice data to ensure accuracy prior to system migration.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with strong Excel skills, accounts payable experience, and the ability to work independently in a structured, high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities
Review, organize, and validate vendor records, including invoices and W-9 documentation
Prepare and clean financial data for ERP system implementation and migration
Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts payable records
Utilize Microsoft Excel to track, analyze, and organize financial information
Identify and resolve discrepancies within supplier documentation
Support the accounting team with general accounts payable and administrative tasks
Manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and organization
Required Qualifications
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
High level of attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
Strong communication skills and ability to follow direction
Comfortable working with high volumes of data in a deadline-driven environment
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in accounts payable or accounting support roles
Experience working with ERP systems or supporting ERP implementations
Background in financial data validation, record organization, or invoice processing

Pay Details: $23.00 to $25.00 per hour
