Senior Accounting Manager

Job Description

Day to day, youll be responsible for leading the monthly and quarterly close process, ensuring financials are accurate, complete, and delivered on time. This includes reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and consolidating results across multiple entities. Youll analyze financial results and provide clear insights to leadership on performance and key variances. Youll also partner closely with teams like FP&A, HR, and IT to gather data and ensure alignment, while maintaining compliance with U.S. GAAP. In addition, youll support audit and tax activities and play a key role in improving and streamlining the close process through better workflows and use of technology. Pay depends on experience and will be in between 60 and 80/hr.

Core Experience

7+ years in accounting

Experience in both public AND private companies

Background in month-end close / financial reporting

Technical Skills

Strong U.S. GAAP knowledge

Experience with:

Consolidations

Account reconciliations

Journal entries

Intercompany eliminations

FX (foreign currency)

Specialized Accounting Areas

ASC 842 (leases)

ASC 718 (stock-based comp)

ASC 350-40 (capitalized software)

Industry

Experience in technology and/or manufacturing

Soft / Functional

Has owned or led close process

Experience partnering cross-functionally (FP&A, HR, etc.)

Experience supporting audits

CPA Certified
