Senior Manager of Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting

Job Description

Day to day, youll serve as a technical accounting leader and advisor to the business, helping determine the appropriate accounting treatment for complex transactions and ensuring alignment with U.S. GAAP. Youll research accounting guidance, prepare technical memos, and partner with leadership to explain the financial impact of key decisions, including equity-related activities and stock-based compensation. Youll play a key role in preparing and reviewing audited financial statements and ensuring all disclosures are accurate and consistent, working closely with Legal and Investor Relations. Additionally, youll monitor new accounting standards and lead implementation efforts while maintaining and enhancing company-wide accounting policies to ensure ongoing compliance. Pay depends on experience and will be in between 60 and 80/hr.

Skills and Requirements

Core Experience

7+ years in accounting

Public company experience (required)

Public company readiness / IPO readiness experience

Technical Accounting

Strong U.S. GAAP expertise

Experience writing technical memos / position papers

Experience advising on complex transactions (equity, stock comp, etc.)

Financial Reporting

Experience preparing/reviewing audited financial statements

SEC reporting exposure (10-K, 10-Q strongly preferred)

Regulatory / Policy

Experience implementing new accounting standards (FASB/SEC)

Experience maintaining accounting policies

Cross-Functional

Worked with Legal, Investor Relations, and auditors
