Job Summary
The Management Accountant will be responsible for providing detailed business analysis to management and various teams within the organisation to help identify profitability drivers and opportunities for growth. The candidate will be involved in the preparation of monthly/quarterly reporting, forecasts of sales, monitoring of margins, forecasting, reconciliations and variance analysis as well as supporting the Finance Manager with various requests. This role may require working to tight reporting deadlines.The candidate will be expected to have a good understanding of ERP and financial systems and to be able to produce various comprehensive reports..Other responsibilities include:Financial Reporting & Analysis
Analyse financial performance and provide commentary on variances to support management understanding and decision makingMonitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify trends
Budgeting & Forecasting
Assist in the preparation of annual & quarterly budgets and financial forecastsTrack actual performance against budgets and investigate discrepanciesProvide recommendations to improve financial outcomes
Cost Control & Profitability
Conduct cost analysis and identify cost-saving opportunitiesSupport pricing strategies and profitability analysisSupport Finance Manager with monitoring of departmental spending and ensure alignment with budgets
Business Partnering
Work closely with department managers to provide financial insightsSupport decision-making with financial modelling and scenario analysisCommunicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders
Compliance & Controls
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policiesMaintain strong financial controls and proceduresAssist with internal and external audits
Process Improvement
Identify and implement improvements in financial processes and systemsSupport automation and efficiency initiatives
Required Skills
Good communication and presentation skillsWhile it is not a requirement to have an IT or system background, the candidate needs proficiency in excel and be able to grasp basic IT and database conceptsStrong analytical and numerical skills are essentialGood commercial and financial awarenessReliable team player who also demonstrates the ability to work independentlyEnjoys working closely with others in a multicultural environmentAbility to manage prioritiesAttention to detailInitiative and problem-solving attitudeExcellent customer service attitude (internal/external)
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldProfessional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent)Proven experience in Management Accounting or similar roleExperience with ERP/financial systems
