Job Description


We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead the company’s credit, invoicing and collections processes while overseeing Accounts and Freight Payable operations. This role requires a highly organized accounting professional who can manage receivables, supervise clerical staff, and maintain accurate financial records in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

· Manage the full accounts receivable cycle, including customer credit checking, invoicing, payment application, and collections.

· Monitor AR aging and proactively resolve outstanding balances.

· Supervise the Accounts Payable and Freight Clerks, ensuring accurate processing of vendor invoices and freight documentation.

· Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies with customers and internal teams.

· Maintain and assist in reconcile accounting records in QuickBooks.

· Use Microsoft Excel to prepare reconciliations, reports, and financial analysis.

· Support month-end close and ensure accuracy of receivable, payable, and freight transactions.

· Identify opportunities to improve billing, collections, and workflow efficiency.

Qualifications:

· 3–5+ years of accounting experience, with strong accounts receivable background.

· Experience supervising or coordinating accounting support staff preferred.

· Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.

· Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

· Strong communication skills and ability to work with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
