About the Opportunity
We are partnering with a growing and highly dynamic organization seeking an Assistant Controller to play a key leadership role within the accounting function. This is a high-visibility position offering the opportunity to partner closely with executive leadership, drive process improvements, and help scale the finance organization.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Controller in overseeing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
Review and manage general ledger activity, account reconciliations, and financial reporting
Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and reviewing work
Assist in the preparation of financial statements, audit schedules, and external reporting
Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, operations, and executive teams
Identify opportunities for process improvements, system enhancements, and automation
Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management initiatives
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred or in progress
5-8+ years of progressive accounting experience
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or similar)
Proven ability to manage deadlines and operate in a fast-paced environment
Prior supervisory experience or demonstrated leadership capability
