About the Opportunity

We are partnering with a growing and highly dynamic organization seeking an Assistant Controller to play a key leadership role within the accounting function. This is a high-visibility position offering the opportunity to partner closely with executive leadership, drive process improvements, and help scale the finance organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Controller in overseeing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes

  • Review and manage general ledger activity, account reconciliations, and financial reporting

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies

  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and reviewing work

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, audit schedules, and external reporting

  • Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, operations, and executive teams

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, system enhancements, and automation

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred or in progress

  • 5-8+ years of progressive accounting experience

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting

  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or similar)

  • Proven ability to manage deadlines and operate in a fast-paced environment

  • Prior supervisory experience or demonstrated leadership capability
