The Director of Credit Administration is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations for credit administration. Responsible for overseeing the quality of the banks loan portfolio, underwriting standards, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
Credit & Underwriting Leadership
- Monitor credit risk, manage loan portfolios and ensure adherence to internal policies and federal / state regulations.
- Develop and execute credit policies, conduct portfolio stress testing, and manage special assets.
- Provide support to loan operations function.
- Ensure operations excellence, adherence to internal SLAs and that SOPs comply with state and federal regulations.
Loan Committee
- Contribute to and participate in Internal Loan Committee meetings and monthly Loan Committee meetings.
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with state and federal banking regulations.
- Interact with regulators and auditors. Ensure successful audits and exams related to lending and credit.
- Bachelors Degree in business administration, economics, accounting, finance or related field.
- Masters Degree preferred.
- CRC Designation or ability to obtain within reasonable timeframe.
- Strong knowledge of banking regulations, commercial lending principles, and loan underwriting.
- Extensive experience (10-15 years) in credit risk management or underwriting.
- Leadership skills to manage teams and interact with executive leadership.
- Analytical skills for credit analysis and underwriting, reporting and portfolio monitoring.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and bank credit underwriting software systems.
