Accounts Payable and Receivable Specialist

VANCO - Job Description Title: Accounting Specialist - AP (Full Time) Supervisor: Controller Responsibilities: 1. Accounts Payable: a. Match received POs with vendor vouchers b. Enter vendor vouchers c. File AP all paid vendor vouchers/check stubs d. Credit applications to potential vendors e. Vendor account maintenance including setting up new vendors. 2. Inbound Credit reference responses 3. Credit card transaction entries 4. Take all incoming collections calls and vendor related calls 5. Address incoming inquiries (email or phone) with AP questions. 6. Backup Customer billing and maintenance. 7. Must be organized, able to multi-task, detail oriented, and have a desire to learn and grow 8. Have a positive and professional attitude and willingness to help and serve others. 9. Must have basic computer skills and be PC literate. This means you can type, use Outlook for email, MS Windows, MS Excel, and MS Word. 10. Part of collections team ensuring Aged AR stays at acceptable level. 11. Maintain various files for accounting and others for: 12. Credit App on file - AP/AR 13. Certificates of Insurance for subcontractors and sub-agents. 14. Assist controller with accounting system entries as needed. Hours: 8hr/day between 7a-5pm, Monday to Friday. 40hr / week with occasional overtime hours as directed and approved.
