Cash Application Specialist Georgia Pacific (St. Louis, MO)
Pay: $24.00$25.00/hr. Schedule: MondayFriday, one day per week work from home Assignment Type: Temporary , lasting up to 6 months , with the possibility of extension through the end of 2026 or longer depending on business needs.
Encadria Staffing Solutions a Georgia Pacific company is hiring a Cash Application Specialist to support former Anchor Packaging in St. Louis. Anchor Packaging, now part of Georgia Pacific , is a leading manufacturer in the food packaging industry serving major brands across North America. This role is essential to maintaining accurate customer accounts and supporting the Credit and Accounts Receivable teams.
What Youll Do

• Apply cash receipts to customer accounts 90% of the time , including lockbox, ACH, and wire payments
• Accurately clear invoices, identify deductions, and ensure customer accounts reflect correct balances
• Make collections calls and send collections emails to resolve outstanding balances
• Assist with Accounts Receivable responsibilities , including researching discrepancies and supporting credit analysts
• Investigate short payments by partnering with customers, credit analysts, and trade management teams
• Resolve unapplied and unidentified cash receipts
• Enter adjustments and write offs to customer accounts
• Upload customer invoices into internal systems or customer portals
• Prepare monthly credit department reports showing key credit and collections metrics
• Manage special handling customer invoices and unique account requirements
• Communicate professionally with internal and external partners
• Maintain accuracy, timeliness, and confidentiality in all financial transactions

Other Considerations / Work Environment

• Office based role with one remote day per week
• Requires extended periods of computer and desk work
• Must maintain strict adherence to company policies, confidentiality standards, and financial controls
• Fast paced environment with daily deadlines and cross department collaboration

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum five years of cash application experience
• Strong knowledge of Accounts Receivable processes including credit, collections, and cash posting
• Experience with Oracle preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to analyze payment discrepancies and resolve issues independently
