Acounts Payable/Bookkeeper

Join our dynamic finance team as an Accounts Payable/Bookkeeper and become a vital contributor to our organization's financial health! In this energetic role, you will manage essential bookkeeping functions, payroll, answer multi line phone, be backup for the receptionist, ensure accurate recording of financial transactions, and support the overall integrity of our accounting processes. Your expertise will help maintain compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), streamline accounts payable operations, and facilitate precise financial reporting. The person right for this job is self- motivated, has a strong work ethic and very dependable.

DUTIES:

• Process and verify all accounts payable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors and suppliers
• Maintain detailed records of journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activities in accounting software such as QuickBooks, & MS Office Suite
• Perform bank reconciliations regularly to ensure consistency between bank statements and internal records
• Manage phone calls and emails
• Organize or implement office operations and procedures
• Date entry

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to perform detailed account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation accurately
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills for financial report writing and collaboration with team members
• Safety oriented
• Team player
• Able to lift 25 pounds
• Knowledge of the wood and mill industry is helpful but not required
