About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join a dynamic accounting team. Key Responsibilities Invoice Processing: Review, verify, and process vendor invoices across multiple entities and cost centers while ensuring compliance with internal policies. Reconciliations: Perform monthly reconciliations of vendor statements and credit card transactions, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records. Vendor Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for vendors, resolving discrepancies and maintaining professional relationships. Payment Execution: Prepare and process payments via check, ACH, and electronic transfers with proper documentation and accuracy. Reporting Support: Assist in generating accounts payable reports, including aging reports and audit-related documentation. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to improve processes and support financial operations. Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve invoice and payment discrepancies efficiently. Month-End Support: Assist with month-end close activities and provide support during audits. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. Experience with accounting software (ERP systems preferred). Strong understanding of accounting principles. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
