Assistant Controller

Assistant Controller Location: Palm Beach Gardens, FL Salary Range: $90,000-$120,000 (Depending on Experience) Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Controller to support the financial operations of a growing property management company. This role assists in overseeing accounting functions, financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, and compliance across a portfolio of residential and/or commercial properties. The Assistant Controller will work closely with the Controller and property management teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and efficient accounting processes. Key Responsibilities Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes Prepare and review financial statements for multiple properties and entities Oversee general ledger activity, account reconciliations, and journal entries Support preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses Monitor cash flow, operating expenses, and reserve accounts Assist with audits, tax filings, and lender reporting requirements Review tenant billing, CAM reconciliations, rent rolls, and owner distributions Coordinate with property managers regarding financial performance and operational issues Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures Assist with implementation and optimization of property management/accounting software Support acquisition, disposition, and financing activities as needed Qualifications Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in property management or real estate Strong understanding of GAAP and real estate accounting principles Experience with property management software such as Yardi, MRI, AppFolio, or RealPage preferred Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Preferred Experience Experience with multi-entity and intercompany accounting Knowledge of commercial and/or residential property operations Experience managing month-end close for large property portfolios Familiarity with escrow accounts, lease accounting, and fixed assets #INMAY2026 #ZRCFS EB-...
