In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, leading reconciliations, supporting month-end close, and delivering insightful financial reporting. Key Responsibilities Lead and/or review monthly bank reconciliations, investigating variances and resolving outstanding items in a timely manner. Prepare, post, and review journal entries with proper documentation and accurate account coding. Maintaining accurate sales journals and daily deposit processes across multiple retail locations. Facilitate timely wire transfers and ACH payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial procedures. Own balance sheet reconciliations across key accounts (cash, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, loans, intercompany, etc.), ensuring timely resolution of reconciling items. Drive month-end close activities, including preparation of schedules, rollforwards, and variance analyses. Prepare and/or review financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) and management reporting packages. Maintain general ledger integrity, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with GAAP and internal policies. Support external audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and responding to auditor inquiries. Identify and implement process improvements to streamline workflows, enhance reporting quality, and strengthen internal controls. Collaborate cross-functionally with operations and leadership to provide actionable financial insights. Mentor and support junior accounting staff, including reviewing work and assisting with workflow management. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 3+ years of progressive accounting experience (public accounting and/or industry). Strong hands-on experience with bank and balance sheet reconciliations and month-end close processes. Solid understanding of GAAP and internal control principles. Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas). Experience with accounting/ERP systems (such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, or similar). Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Clear and effective communication skills with cross-functional stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications CPA or CMA designation (or in progress). Experience supervising or mentoring accounting staff. Familiarity with multi-entity environments, including intercompany transactions and consolidations. Demonstrated success improving close processes, documentation, and reconciliation procedures.
