Kforce's client, a well-established organization in the Saint Louis area, is seeking an Associate Director of Tax to join its corporate tax leadership team. This role is responsible for overseeing critical aspects of global income tax reporting, supporting strategic transactions and integrations, and contributing to the continued enhancement of tax processes and reporting operations. The position requires deep technical tax accounting expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively across finance, accounting, and operational teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation and coordination of quarterly and annual consolidated income tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740, including current and deferred taxes, uncertain tax positions, effective tax rate analysis, and related SOX compliance activities
- Oversee and review income tax provision calculations, supporting schedules, and related documentation
- Manage the integration of acquired businesses into the consolidated tax reporting structure, including evaluation of significant tax adjustments and exposures
- Partner with tax planning and finance teams to assess accounting implications associated with complex internal and external transactions
- Support the implementation and enhancement of tax technology and automation initiatives aimed at improving efficiency and reducing operational risk
- Research and evaluate complex tax accounting matters, develop recommendations, and communicate findings to leadership
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and regulatory guidance and assess potential impacts to the organization
- Collaborate with senior leadership, controllership, external auditors, advisors, and other stakeholders regarding global tax reporting matters
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and continuous improvement within tax reporting functions* Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Advanced tax degree preferred
- CPA designation strongly preferred
- Minimum of 8 years of tax accounting experience, including public company income tax provision experience within industry or public accounting environments
- Strong ability to evaluate complex transactions and related accounting implications
- Advanced technical tax accounting knowledge and sound risk assessment capabilities
