Interim Fund Accounting Controller

Interim Fund Accounting Controller Our client, an established private investment firm, is seeking an Interim Fund Accounting Controller to provide additional leadership and execution support during a period of elevated workload. This position offers flexibility for remote or hybrid work, and the engagement is expected to last 3+ months. Responsibilities: Oversee fund-level accounting activities, including capital calls and investor activity Perform fund-level reconciliations and review supporting schedules Review asset-level accounting records and financials received from operating partners Review and prepare subscription line activity, including draws and related documentation Review GAAP financial statements and footnote disclosures Review and quality-check deliverables produced by the broader controller or fund accounting team Support project management across multiple concurrent priorities Assist with ad hoc fund accounting initiatives as needed during the engagement Requirements: Prior experience serving as a Controller or senior fund accounting leader Strong background in fund accounting within private investment environments Experience reviewing fund-level and asset-level financial reporting Ability to manage competing priorities and re-prioritize as workloads shift Strong attention to detail and judgment in reviewing complex financial deliverables Compensation: Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco by Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors, including but not limited to: The individual's skill sets, experience, and training; Licensure and certifications; Office location and other geographic considerations; Other business and organizational needs.
