About the Opportunity
- Oversee general transactional accounting and month-, quarter-, and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with reporting deadlines.
- Interpret and apply contractual agreements (including LPAs, DoTs, and loan agreements) to support project set-up, billing, and ongoing financial requirements.
- Apply professional accounting standards, including ASPE and IFRS, with particular focus on financial instruments, revenue recognition, and accruals.
- Perform timely and accurate reconciliations and billings in accordance with contractual terms, ensuring completeness and accuracy of financial records.
- Prepare statutory financial statements and process unit/share redemption or retraction transactions.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and project financial planning, while maintaining adherence to internal controls, governance, and compliance frameworks.
- Assist with internal and external audits and contribute to the continuous improvement of financial systems, processes, and documentation.
- Manage accounts receivable activities, including collections, dispute resolution, and input into consolidated monthly cash flow forecasts.
- Support capital activities such as fundraising, capital calls, distributions, and the preparation of monthly investor statements and unitholder registries.
- Deliver accurate and timely management reporting, including project cost reports, P&L variance analysis, cost forecasting, and participation in project financial reviews.
- 3 to 4 years minimum of progressive accounting experience.
- CPA designated or in-progress.
