Back To Results Controller - SAAS Company Job Description Our client is a fast growing leader with our SaaS organization located in Alpharetta. They have an immediate need for a Corporate Controller who will own and drive all aspects of the accounting and financial operations. This position reports directly to our hard-charging CFO who has a track record built on partnering with his team to enable their success. The right candidate will be dynamic, hardworking, and will have the opportunity to build out a world-class team, implement best practices and help scale the company. The Corporate Controller will work closely with the finance team to build out budgets, the long-term strategic plan and dashboards. This individual will lead the external audit and interface with outside advisors. In this position, there is no end to expanding the infrastructure, special projects and leadership opportunities! What You'll Do: Own, reconcile and direct a tight GL month-end close process (key accounts include revenue, deferred revenue, commissions and stock options) Prepare the month-end reporting package with an analysis of any variances Review all processes owned or impacted by accounting and establish or improve upon formal written processes/policies Coordinate with CFO and accounting team to improve, source and maintain all accounting IT systems including mid-market solutions for ERP, billing, and expenses Lead the annual external audit and prepare the required reporting Manage all analysis and compliance for taxes including Federal, State, Corporate, Sales, Use, and R D tax credits Coordinate with FP&A in developing KPI's, forecasting, and insights Own the AR process, credit & collections, AP approval, and incentive payouts Perform accounting research; will need to speak fluent US GAAP in order to plan and implement new accounting initiative (i.e. ASC 606 on Revenue Recognition) Nitty Gritty (What You'll Need): Eight (8) to 12 years of progressive SaaS/software experience CPA license with deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP A hands-on go-getter, self-starter, and overall hard worker; someone who looks for areas to get their hands dirty, work hard and get the job done! Leader who is detail oriented and able to work in a heavy rhythm environment that requires deciphering large amounts of data quickly and efficiently Consistently delivers ahead of agreed-upon deadlines Strong communication skills and ability to interact with internal and external partners (vendors, customers, executives, PE/VC's, etc.). Understands the value of picking up the phone! Ability to review and understand commercial and vendor contracts Be someone that is always looking to learn and improve; someone who has grit and solicits/uses constructive feedback to perfect the perfect!
