Ce poste fait partie integrante de l'unite et vos responsabilites sont axees sur la paie, mais comprennent egalement d'autres responsabilites liees a la paie et a la facturation. En collaboration avec le controleur et le gestionnaire senior des RH, vous serez le principal responsable du traitement des paiements et des avantages sociaux et veillerez a la conformite des operations de paie aux politiques federales et provinciales ainsi qu'a la convention collective. Vous serez egalement responsable de la verification de la facturation, du traitement des factures dans SAP et du suivi des paiements effectues.
This position is integral to the unit with responsibilities focused on payroll but includes other responsibilities in payroll and billing. Working with the Controller and Senior HR Manager, you will be the principal force processing payments and benefits and ensure payroll operations is compliant with federal and provincial policies as well as the collective bargaining agreement. Other responsibilities will include auditing billing as well as processing invoices in SAP and tracking that payments are made.
Fonctions et responsabilites essentielles / Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Assurer le traitement rapide et precis de la paie bimensuelle des employes syndiques dans Kronos
- Assurer et maintenir la conformite a la convention collective et a la reglementation gouvernementale
- Repondre rapidement aux demandes de renseignements sur la paie
- Preparer les demandes de paiement de l'ARC, des cotisations syndicales et des regimes de retraite, et assurer la sauvegarde pour le siege social
- Assurer le respect des politiques de conges payes et le suivi des conges payes accumules/pris par tous les employes
- Assurer le traitement adequat des donnees des fournisseurs d'avantages sociaux
- Saisir et mettre a jour les dossiers principaux des employes, notamment les changements de taux, les cessations d'emploi, les paiements retroactifs et les nouvelles embauches
- Contribuer a l'elaboration de politiques, de procedures et de controles internes pour assurer la conformite aux conventions collectives et aux lois federales et provincials
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of biweekly payroll for union employees in Kronos
- Ensure and maintain compliance with the collective bargaining agreement and government regulations
- Respond in a timely manner to payroll inquires/requests
- Preparing CRA/pension/union dues payment requisitions and backup for head office
- Ensure adherence to vacation policies and track vacation earned/ taken for all employees
- Ensure correct processing for benefit suppliers
- Enter and update employee master files such as rate changes, terminations, retroactive payments, and new hires
- Assist with the development of policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with collective agreement, federal and provincial legislation
Education / Education :
- Diplome d'etudes secondaires ou GED requis.
- Diplome d'associe en comptabilite, finance ou commerce prefere.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associates Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business preferred.
Experience professionnelle / Work Experience :
2 a 3 ans dexperience en paie dans un environnement syndique
Une experience avec Ultimate Software (Workday) et Kronos est preferable.
- 2 to 3 years of payroll experience in a unionized environment
- Experience with Ultimate Software (Workday) and Kronos is preferred.

- Must be proficient with spreadsheets and database query skills.

- Certification de praticien en conformite de la paie ou candidat PCP en voie d'obtenir la certification de l'Association canadienne de la paie
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner certification or is a PCP candidate working towards certification from the Canadian Payroll Association
