Description
IBEW Local Union 812 has been operating in Northern Central PA since 1938. We are seeking an Office and Accounting Administrator for our business office located in Montoursville, PA.
We operate two separate entities in one office setting: IBEW Local Union 812 and the Williamsport Joint Apprenticeship Fund. The two organizations are related.
Primary responsibilities include:
Working Knowledge of QuickBooks and basic accounting concepts (income, expense, liabilities)
Manage Payroll Tax Payments in coordination with our 3rd Party CPA
Payroll
Manage deposits, utility payments, etc. as directed
Track a small inventory
Proficient with Microsoft Products (Word, Outlook, Excel)
File management (physical and electronic)
Answer phone/take messages
There are many other tasks associated with the position. Some are seasonal or occasional.
The position is 4 days per week (32 hours weekly).
Weekdays only. 8:30 AM--4:30 PM
This is a non-bargaining unit position.
Sometimes the schedule changes and additional days are added (up to 5 days per week) to accommodate office needs and travel schedules of other staff. We try to be flexible with the schedule whenever possible.
Wage: $22.86 / hour
Retirement 1: $4.60 / hour defined contribution plan (similar to 401k)
Retirement 2: defined benefit pension (vesting required)
This is an in-person position in a business casual setting.
