Monterrey Tile a leader in the tile and stone industry is looking for an experienced Controller to join our Leadership team Note This is an in office full time position Shift Monday Friday 8am 5pm Pay ...00 Key Responsibilities Oversight of all accounting activities including general ledger payroll accounts payable accounts receivable fixed assets and financial planning and analysisEnsures accurate and timely reporting of monthly quarterly and annual financial statements for the CompanyPartners with outside insurance legal CPA firms and other businessPrepares annual budget and provides monthly performance analysisLeads annual preparation of federal and state income tax returns for companyServes as key interface with project division cost center and subsidiary personnel providing accounting support as neededMaintains robust internal controls in compliance with company policies accounting standards and regulatory requirements including federal state and local income sales and payroll taxesOversight of Company ERP and accounting platforms driving automation and process improvement as needed and opportunity ariseLeads and develops the accounting team this includes hiring performance reviews and trainingAs a key partner this role provides strategic and executive advice as neededMinimum Requirements Minimum of 15 years of progressive accounting experience minimum 5 years in Controller roleBachelors degree in Accounting or Finance required Advance degree or certification preferredExperience with 401K employee stock ownership plans ESOPs annual reporting filings regulatory requirementsAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office specifically ExcelHands on experience with ERP accounting software and financial databasesDemonstrated ability to manage full cycle accounting and month endyear end close processesHigh attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy and data integrityExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain financial information to the Leadership teamAbility to direct supervise and mentor accounting staff in a hands on environmentStrong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlinesMore about this job Excellent benefits package includes vacation paid sick time holiday and company paid premiums for basic medical dental vision life long term disability And more
