Accounting Manager

This is a fully remote role, with candidates required to be located in the Greater Boston area. The Accounting Manager will have full responsibility for the monthly, quarterly, and annual close in an environment that combines operational complexity with growth and evolving infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Full ownership of the close process, from preparation through final reporting Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP Manage technical accounting matters and ensure compliance Build, improve, and document accounting processes and internal controls Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors and tax advisors Navigate and manage complexity while supporting scalability and growth In this role, the Accounting Manager will balance hands-on execution with strategic oversight, ensuring accuracy, discipline, and continuous improvement. Qualifications Active CPA required Proven mix of public accounting and private industry experience Demonstrated ownership of the full close in a complex environment Strong technical accounting and GAAP knowledge Experience operating in growth-stage or evolving organizations The Accounting Manager must be comfortable taking accountability, driving structure, and operating with a high level of ownership.
