Prepare financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Korean IFRS, and U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations across multiple jurisdictions within a multinational corporate environment;
Coordinate the preparation of financial statements across different accounting frameworks, ensuring consistency and accuracy in cross-border financial reporting between the U.S. entity and the South Korea headquarters;
Coordinate and reconcile different accounting treatments between IFRS, Korean IFRS, and U.S. GAAP, including intercompany transactions and internal reporting structures;
Analyze and resolve discrepancies between financial statements prepared under different accounting standards and implement adjustments to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements, internal standards, and multinational reporting policies;
Analyze accounting and financial data to provide insights into the company's financial performance and support management decision-making in a global manufacturing environment;
Conduct variance analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, including cost fluctuations related to cross-border operations and reporting;
Analyze operational costs related to manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and overhead expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements within an automotive parts manufacturing environment;
Prepare financial reports and presentations for management review, including reports required for both U.S. operations and reporting to the South Korea headquarters;
Support external audits by providing necessary documentation, explanations, and assistance to auditors, ensuring compliance with audit requirements in both U.S. and international reporting contexts;
Perform internal audits to assess the effectiveness of internal controls and compliance with accounting standards and company-specific financial procedures;
Prepare and support tax returns in compliance with relevant U.S. and international tax laws and regulations;
Stay updated on changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and regulations across jurisdictions and ensure proper implementation in financial reporting processes;
Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements in various jurisdictions and internal reporting obligations to the parent company;
Provide financial expertise and support to business decision-making processes, including coordination with cross-functional teams in a multinational operational structure;
Identify opportunities for process improvement in accounting procedures and systems, including enhancements to internal reporting workflows and financial controls;
Identify and assess financial risks related to accounting practices, regulatory compliance, and taxation and implement risk mitigation strategies to safeguard company assets and ensure financial stability within a cross-border operational framework.
