You will help us review compliance with contracts/grants, State and Federal requirements, contractor compliance, and other special projects. This is a senior role where you'll handle a full range of audit tasks, reporting directly to the Internal Audit Director. Heads up: this job might require some overnight travel across the state. About the Role Location - 4501 S 2700 W, Po Box 141200 Salt Lake City, UT, 84114-8455 United States Background Check Required - Yes Drug Test Required - No Schedule Code - B - Competitive Career Service FT / PT Status - Full-Time Salary - $26.67 - $51.79 Hourly Wage Remote Work / In-Office - Hybrid Application Deadline - 5/15/2026 What You'll Be Doing Plan and conduct audits, which include defining scope and objectives, reviewing information, identifying potential issues, and preparing audit documentation. Look at, summarize, and review data to report what you find, explain the results, and make recommendations. Write or draft reports, documents, and other materials. Share your findings and recommendations with UDOT leadership. Must-Haves At least two (2) years of experience in research, project management, and/or auditing. A four (4) year college degree or comparable work experience. The position may be filled through an underfill as an Auditor II for those who do not meet the criteria listed above. In order to qualify for the underfill, you must have: A four (4) year college degree or a combination of education and experience. Preferred Qualifications Preference may be given to candidates with the following qualifications: Strong project management skills with little supervision. Familiarity with State and Federal contracting rules. Background in GASB and GAGAS. The ability to understand and apply government auditing guidelines. Experience working with data analytics. Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods. Great written and spoken communication skills. Experience with Federal contractor requirements.
