We are seeking a detail-oriented SEC Accountant to support external financial reporting and ensure compliance with SEC regulations. This role will play a key part in preparing filings, maintaining technical accounting documentation, and supporting the overall reporting process in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and review SEC filings including 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and other required disclosures Assist with drafting financial statements, footnotes, and MD&A sections Ensure compliance with GAAP and U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) reporting requirements Support the month-end and quarter-end close processes related to external reporting Research and document technical accounting issues and new accounting standards Coordinate with auditors on quarterly reviews and annual audits Maintain internal controls over financial reporting (SOX compliance) Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, legal, and investor relations teams Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 2-5+ years of experience in public accounting (Big 4 or large regional preferred) or SEC reporting Strong knowledge of GAAP and SEC reporting requirements CPA or CPA-eligible preferred Experience with reporting tools (Workiva, Hyperion, or similar) is a plus Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with publicly traded companies Familiarity with SOX compliance and internal controls Strong technical accounting research skills Why Join Us: High visibility role with exposure to executive leadership Opportunity to work on complex and evolving accounting topics Collaborative, fast-paced environment with growth potential Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
