Senior Controller

Amazing non-profit organization in San Francisco is seeking a skilled and mission driven Senior Controller to join their team. This is a hybrid position with 3 days per week in office and 2 days remote. Reporting to the CFO, the Senior Controller will oversee the accounting functions for all of the organizations affiliates and lead a staff of six. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location. Expected starting base salary $180,000 to $190,000 per year. Responsibilities: Oversee all Accounting and Financial functions, as well as Asset Management. Oversight of accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, fixed assets and Asset Management functions for all affiliates. Manages third-party relationship with Property Management provider. Work collaboratively with CFO, Senior Controller - ECS, and Senior Director of Asset Management to develop, maintain, streamline and improve intercompany transactions and reporting in compliance with regulatory requirements. Monthly financial statements including income statements, balance sheet, and statement of cash flows. Produce monthly budget and prior year variance analyses. Collaborate with CFO and other stakeholders on design, controls and enhancement of systems with a focus on future needs and increased efficiencies. Collaborate with appropriate directors and coordinate details of annual financial audits, including preparation of supporting schedules for annual field work. Experience: Bachelor's degree in accounting - advanced degree preferred. 10+ years accounting experience - non-profit experience preferred.
