Book Keeper

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of financial concepts and demonstrate proficiency in accounting practices Job Description Assist with month-end and year-end close processes. Prepare and post journal entries (prepaids, accruals, payroll, depreciations, and amortization). Filing of Sales and Used Tax Perform monthly bank reconciliation and account reconciliations. Book daily transactions that appeared in the bank. Maintain and update IRS W-9 information of vendors for IRS 1099 year-end tax reporting and processing. Process credit card transactions monthly, maintain and scan receipts for recording purposes. Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls Support audit preparation and respond to auditor inquiries Daily process and post customer payments by recording cash, check, credit card a and electronic transfers. Collaborate with Accounts Receivable departments as needed to resolve discrepancies. Enter AP invoices and do 3-way matching (Purchase Orders, Receipts, and Vendor Invoices) including verifying coding, and attention to detail. Collaborate with vendors and other departments as needed to resolve discrepancies, obtain vendor statements to ensure accuracy of posted A/P. Collaborate with the Purchasing Department to establish and verify Purchase Orders (POs) for accurate invoice processing. Provide Accounts Payable aging reports to Vice President of Operation on a weekly basis. Process Accounts Payable check run on a weekly basis and as required. Process and post vendor payments that are made electronically. Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly financial statements and assist with audits and year-end closing Any other duties given by your supervisor.
