To oversee all general accounting activities, to include bank and ledger account reconciliations, foundation books, endowments, etc. To manage the Banner System Financial Module. To prepare the Annual Financial Report. Job Duties & Responsibilities Maintain the Banner chart of accounts Maintain approval queues and employee security accesses Oversee all bank and ledger account reconciliations Open/close monthly periods to ensure accurate reporting periods Review/approve departmental journal vouchers Prepare/review various report, to include Board of Regents Endowments Ensure capital assets reconciles with property records Prepare periodic analytical comparisons to help ensure yearend accuracy Oversee the State Appropriations warrants receipts Address all Banner questions from faculty/staff/students Attend meetings when the Controller is unavailable Oversee the preparation of the Annual Financial Report 10% Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum: Bachelor's degree in accounting, plus five years of professional level experience in accounting or related field. Strong knowledge of the Banner System Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Excellent analytical skills, with a strong sense of detail. Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on Excel. Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects Preferred: Master's degree with a major in accounting or related field.
