Corporate Accounting Clerk

Job Summary:

The Corporate Accounting Clerk is responsible for supporting the accounting department by performing a variety of clerical and financial tasks. This role ensures accurate processing of financial transactions, maintains records, and assists with day-to-day accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions

Prepare and post journal entries

Reconcile bank statements and financial discrepancies

Maintain accurate financial records and documentation

Assist with invoicing, billing, and collections

Review and verify invoices and expense reports

Support month-end and year-end closing processes

Enter data into accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks , SAP , or similar)

Respond to vendor and internal inquiries regarding financial transactions

Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards

Qualifications:

High school diploma required; Associate degree in Accounting or related field preferred

1-3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or clerical experience

Basic understanding of accounting principles (AP/AR, debits/credits)

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to handle confidential information with integrity

Preferred Skills:

Experience with ERP/SAP systems

Strong data entry accuracy and speed

Good communication and problem-solving skills

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Work Environment:

Typically office-based (onsite or hybrid depending on company)

Standard business hours with occasional overtime during close periods
