POSITION DESCRIPTION : The Texas Assistant Controller will report to our California Corporate Controller and is responsible for overseeing the accounting team in Fort Worth, Texas. The Assistant Controller will possess a strong technical accounting background for both public and corporate accounting, the ability to lead, mentor and build a team, and will have a proven track record with progressive advancement in their career.

This position will ensure a timely and accurate month-end close process which includes financial reporting and analysis, general ledger reconciliations and supporting documents to prepare for the year-end audit. The Texas Assistant Controller will work closely with the California accounting department and management team to provide financial insights and strategic guidance for department growth.

LOCATION: The position is based at DrinkPAKs Beverage Manufacturing Facility in Fort Worth, Texas.

TYPE: Full Time; Salaried / Exempt

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and oversee financial statements, including, but not limited to, income statements, balance sheets, and trend analysis.

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, industry-specific financial regulations, and external party reporting requirements, including ASC 842 and 606.

  • Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes for the Texas location.

  • Provide financial analysis and reporting to support business decision-making in a sufficient and timely manner.

  • Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets.

  • Supervise and develop accounting staff, including providing strategic direction for the accounting function and ensuring the team follows appropriate accounting standards and processes.

  • Partner with operations, supply chain, and production teams to align financial goals with manufacturing processes.

  • Support ERP system improvements and financial system enhancements.

  • Continue to improve processes, standard operating procedures and areas of risk mitigation.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting (CPA preferred).

  • At least 7-12 years of accounting/finance experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a leadership role

  • Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar; implementation experience a plus).

  • Sophisticated knowledge of Excel and financial modeling.

  • Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, and financial reporting in manufacturing.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Robust attention to detail and organizational skills with a high level of integrity and professionalism.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive financial discipline.
