About the RoleWe're looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Associate Accountant to join our finance team. What You'll DoAccounts Receivable & Collections
Prepare and issue customer invoices accurately and on timeMonitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on outstanding balancesExecute collection efforts via phone, email, and written communicationInvestigate and resolve billing discrepancies and payment issuesMaintain accurate, up-to-date customer account recordsProcess credit card payments and support collections activities, including preparing accounts for external agencies
Accounts Payable
Review, code, and process vendor invoicesPrepare and submit payments in accordance with company proceduresResolve discrepancies and maintain strong vendor relationshipsMaintain organized and accurate vendor files
General Accounting & Reporting
Maintain financial records, including journals and ledgersAssist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processesReconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and internal accountsResearch and resolve discrepancies in financial data
Process Improvement & Collaboration
Develop, maintain, and improve Excel-based tracking tools and reportsCollaborate with internal teams (sales, customer service, finance) to resolve account issuesSupport billing processes and ensure adherence to customer contract termsHelp improve workflows and identify opportunities for efficiency
Expense & Program Administration
Support the company's travel and expense program, ensuring timely reimbursement and complianceProvide guidance and occasional training to employees on expense reporting
Additional Responsibilities
Assist with annual processes such as 1099 reporting and unclaimed property filingsProvide general administrative and project support to the finance teamServe as backup for team members as needed
What You Bring
High school diploma or GED required (Associate's or Bachelor's in Accounting or related field preferred)3+ years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or administrative supportStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProactive mindset with a willingness to learn and improve processesIntermediate to advanced Excel skills
