BettingJobs is partnering with a fast-growing start-up based in St. Julian's, Malta, as they search to find a Finance Officer to join their team on a hybrid basis. The successful candidate will be required to work from their Malta office four days per week.
They are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Finance Officer to support their finance team with day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting. This role is ideal for someone with strong numerical skills, a basic understanding of accounting principles, and a willingness to learn and grow within a professional finance environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing financial statements and reports
- Post and process journal entries
- Reconcile bank statements and accounts
- Maintain general ledger entries
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Prepare and process invoices
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes
- Help with audits and tax preparation
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
Requirements:
- Studying a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 0-2 years of accounting experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar)
