Job Description

Our company is seeking a Financial Controller to manage the financial and administrative operations of the business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, including experience with external audits and insurance brokers (business and employee benefits). The Financial Controller will be responsible for analyzing financial data, creating financial reports, and ensuring that all financial transactions are properly recorded. We are looking for an individual who is detail-oriented, organized, able to work independently, and can see beyond the numbers to help our organization grow.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the office.
  • Manage and monitor cash flow.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and procedures.
  • Prepare financial statements and reports for internal and external use.
  • Develop and implement internal control systems.
  • Analyze financial data and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Maintain records of all financial transactions.
  • Manage relationships with external partners, including auditors, insurance brokers, and IT support.
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

Reports To

  • President/CEO

Qualifications

  • BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
  • Adaptability in a small-business environment
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft applications
  • Proficient with QuickBooks

Salary

  • $90k-110k/year
