Position Summary:

The Regional Finance Manager is responsible for ensuring accurate, consistent, and timely financial reporting and analysis across multiple operational sites. This role supports monthly and annual financial close processes, leads budgeting efforts, and identifies opportunities for operational and financial improvements. Acting as a key liaison between site leadership and the central accounting team, the Regional Finance Manager provides hands-on support, training, and guidance to General Managers and regional staff. The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights

Primary Duties and Responsibilities :

Financial Oversight & Reporting

  • Lead and manage the monthly close process for all regional sites.
  • Review and analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts.
  • Ensure consistent accounting across sites, including account classifications and reporting.
  • Perform variance analysis and provide clear explanations for deviations from budget.
  • Maintain accurate and timely financial records.
  • Ensure all franchise fees are entered into accurately and coordinate with the team for payment.

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Partner with GMs to develop annual site budgets.
  • Manage CAPEX planning and corrective adjustments to prior forecasts.
  • Analyze budget-to-actual results and highlight key trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Identify and investigate discrepancies in revenue, expenses, accruals, and other financial metrics.

Operational Support & Training

  • Provide financial and accounting support to the Regional lead, General Managers, and staff.
  • Train GMs and site teams on accounting processes, financial performance and KPI management.
  • Visit sites as needed to provide hands-on financial support and training.
  • Process Improvement & Strategic Insights
  • Monitor KPIs to assess performance in terms of profitability, efficiency, and cost control.
  • Identify performance gaps and support regional leadership in implementing corrective actions.
  • Recommend process / system improvements to enhance financial accuracy.

Accounts Payable & Vendor Management

  • Review and approve purchase orders (POs); assist with discrepancies and IT-related PO issues.
  • Support Accounts Payable with invoice processing and accuracy checks.
  • Maintain and strengthen vendor relationships by resolving inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to AP team members.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Serve as a key point of contact between operations and the accounting department.
  • Maintain open communication with the central accounting team and escalate issues as needed.
  • Ensure timely resolution of concerns to prevent delays in financial reporting.

Job Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CMA preferred

Experience and Competencies:

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in financial management
  • At least 23 years in a multi-site or regional role.
  • Strong working knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP strongly preferred) and advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Previous experience working in a multi-site business environment is highly valued.

Technical Competencies

  • Proven ability to lead monthly and annual financial close processes across multiple sites.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to interpret complex data and trends.
  • Track record of identifying financial discrepancies
  • Accustomed to driving root-cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
