Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of up to $26.00 per hour.

Job Responsibilities:

Process full-cycle payroll for California-based employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Manage payroll for a workforce of 500+ employees across multiple locations.

Review and input timecard data, verifying completeness and correctness.

Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure smooth payroll operations.

Assist with payroll reporting and data extraction using tools like Crystal Reports, if applicable.

Requirements:

3-5+ years of hands-on payroll experience, preferably in a high-volume environment.

Familiarity with California payroll regulations and compliance standards.

Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel for payroll tracking and reporting.

Experience with timecard systems and manual data entry processes.

Ability to work independently and manage sensitive payroll data with confidentiality.

Bilingual in Spanish is required.

Qualifications:

Experience in retail or multi-location payroll environments is a plus.

Prior exposure to Sage HRMS is helpful but not required.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.

Ability to adapt to new systems and support payroll-related projects.
