Technical Writer

We are seeking highly experienced contractor to support the development, integration, and documentation of manufacturing test systems and networking environments. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Linux-based systems, hardware/software update automation, and test tooling for enterprise-level devices. Strong technical writing skills are essential for producing clear and comprehensive design documentation. Responsibilities: Develop and maintain technical documentation including: Comprehensive system architecture maps Application landscape diagrams detailing appliance servers, services, and roles Functional and technical specifications Troubleshooting playbooks and operational guides Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into detailed technical design documents. Required Skills & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 10-15 years of relevant experience preferred. Master's degree with 8+ years of experience also considered. Strong proficiency in: Python programming Linux commands and bash scripting Firmware and driver update automation Linux-based data analysis tools Hands-on experience with: IPMI, Redfish, mprime, FIO, Linpack, ptugen, memtester Enterprise networking protocols (BGP, DHCP Relay, ECMP) VMware configuration and PXE boot environments Network virtualization and SDN technologies Familiarity with: RESTful APIs DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines GitLab or similar version control systems Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong ability to produce technical design documentation.
