Senior Cost Accountant
Location: West side of Dallas, Texas metro
Our client, a rapidly growing organization in the construction industry, is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to join their team. This is a direct hire position in a dynamic work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Track project costs and maintain accurate job cost records
Review and validate cost entries for accuracy and proper coding
Assist in preparing cost reports for project managers and leadership
Support billing and accounts receivable processes
Process subcontractor and vendor invoices, ensuring compliance
Assist with reporting, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close activities
Provide system support and contribute to process improvements
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in construction or project-based industries
Knowledge of job cost accounting principles and billing processes
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software; CMiC experience is a plus
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment
