CONSTRUCTION ACCOUNTANT

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Description:

A premier developer and builder based in Indianapolis is seeking a Construction Accountant to join their growing finance team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of accounting experience, a degree in accounting or finance, and preferably experience in the construction industry. Experience with Sage Intacct is a plus.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Collaborate on budgeting, forecasting, and provide variance analysis.

Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.

Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoices and collections.

Assist in payroll processing and ensure timely, accurate payments.

Coordinate annual audits, providing necessary documentation.

Analyze costs and identify opportunities for savings and process improvements.

Utilize Sage Intacct for financial data management and reporting.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in construction.

Knowledge of Sage Intacct software.

Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

Proficiency in Excel and other accounting software.

Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

CPA or similar certification is a plus.
