OverviewThe Resort Accounting Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day financial operations of the resort. This includes overseeing accounting staff, preparing financial reports, ensuring accurate general ledger entries, monitoring internal controls, and maintaining compliance with corporate policies and relevant regulations. The ideal candidate will ensure the financial health of the property while supporting operational departments with timely and accurate financial insights.
Key Responsibilities:Manage and oversee daily operations of the accounting department including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, cash management, and general ledger.
- Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce financial reports and statements for management.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial planning activities.
Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and address audit findings.
Supervise, train, and mentor accounting team members.
Liaise with department heads to provide financial guidance and support operational decisions.
Assist in capital expenditure tracking and reporting.
Implement process improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness in financial operations.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in hospitality or resort environments.
Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP).
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Profitsord, Microsoft F&O, Craftable).
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with hospitality industry accounting systems and procedures.
Knowledge of local, state, and federal financial regulations.
