Position Overview
The primary responsibility of the accountant is to assist the Sands Digital Services (SDS) Finance and Accounting team with month end close activities, financial reporting, accounting, and finance/accounting related special projects. This includes preparing and providing effective and timely information to assist with management reporting and reporting to various departments to ensure compliance.
All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Las Vegas Sands Corp.s policies, practices, and procedures. All Las Vegas Sands Corp. Team Members are expected to conduct and carry themselves in a professional manner at all times. Team Members are required to observe the Companys standards, work requirements and rules of conduct.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Manage day -to-day accounting operations.
Ensuring timely processing of monthly accounting JE.
Collect, verify and process data for SDS
Control, maintain and submit accounts payable invoices.
Control and maintain expense reports for documentation and compliance .
Control and maintain business trip overviews for compliance and reporting
Verification and review shipping /import documents including the IC processing
Review and processing of Tangible fixed assets, including review of items to be put into service.
E nforce the GL standardization as provided
Prepare and maintain a comprehensive month end checklist to ensure completeness
Perform monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
Support the monthly and quarterly closing process.
Working closely with the A ccounting and Finance team to ensure compliance with local regulations (US GAAP ) an d timely completion of all accounting tasks.
Document and maintain accounting procedures and manuals.
Ensure all accounting JE compliance with local rules and regulations.
Identifying and executing accounting process improvements
Utilize the companys primary systems (Infor, Ariba, Workiva, etc ) to perform duties
Provide oversight and review the work and provide timely feedback for improvement
Actively participate in Audit Services and support the Accounting and Finance team.
Establish and maintain good relationships with other departments and global counterparts throughout the organization
Ensure standards, protocols, and policies are communicated and executed effectively
Performs other related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
At least 21 years of age .
Proof of authorization to work in the United States
Bachelors degree in accounting required
3 years experience in accounting or finance role required ; public accounting experience preferred
Must have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with Team Members of different backgrounds and levels.
Effective written and verbal communication skills in English

Physically access assigned workspace areas with or without reasonable accommodation.
Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, and dust.
