Review and validate loan funding, sale transactions, and servicing activity for compliance with accounting standards and GGL requirements.
Ensure accurate and timely recognition of income, fees, and expenses associated with government-guaranteed loans.
Support month-end and quarter-end close processes, including loan-level reconciliation to the general ledger.
Analyze and reconcile loan balance discrepancies and variances between systems.
Collaborate with loan operations, servicing, and finance teams to resolve data anomalies and ensure alignment.
Assist with internal and external audits by preparing supporting schedules and documentation.
Maintain documentation and workflows in compliance with internal controls and audit standards.
Use FISERV Navigator to extract loan data, perform reconciliations, and support data validation processes (strongly preferred).
Qualifications:
8-10+ years of experience in loan accounting, with a strong focus on government-guaranteed lending (participation loans, SBA, USDA, or similar).
Solid understanding of GAAP and regulatory reporting standards related to loan accounting.
Strong Excel skills, including working with large data sets, pivot tables, and lookups.
Experience using FISERV Navigator is highly preferred.
Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and problem-solving ability.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment and meet tight deadlines.
Skills and Job-Specific Competencies:
