The Middle East Broadcasting Networks, Inc. (MBN) is seeking an analytical, business professional to join our Accounting team in Springfield, VA. MBN is a non-profit grantee of the federal government that directly communicates with the people of the Middle East and North Africa through television, radio, and digital media. MBN's mission is to provide objective, accurate, and relevant news and information to the people of the Middle East about the region, the world, and the United States in support of U.S. public diplomacy.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare journal entries and reconcile G/L accounts, ledgers, fixed asset records, expenses, and bank accounts.
• Identify errors and risks impacting financial statements, ensuring compliance with company policies, GAAP, and Sarbanes-Oxley.
• Prepare reports and financial studies, highlighting significant variances.
• Assist in annual audits.
• Coordinate fixed asset processes and journal entries.
• Communicate across organizational levels and escalate issues when necessary.
• Record daily cash receipts and post to appropriate accounts.
• Audit payrolls and record adjustments in Cost Point.
• Oversee recording of returned wires, fees, and manage receivables and liabilities.
• Record overseas cash activity, bank transfers, and fees.
• Process payroll vouchers and reimbursements.
• Manage corporate credit card activity.

Minimum Qualifications:

• BA/BS in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Knowledge of accounts payable, receivable, budgeting, cost accounting, and general ledger reconciliation per GAAP.
• Understanding of U.S. federal and state financial regulations, including payroll tax laws.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with ERP systems, specifically DELTEK Costpoint 7.
• Knowledge of funds management and budgeting techniques.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving , and communication skills .

Additional Information:

• Position is entry level, full-time, and located in Springfield, VA.
• Salary range : $90,000 - $101,600.
